There's still lots to do - from Octoberfest to Mardi Gras. See a concert, catch a play or go to the dogs - the greyhound races, that is. Visit historic museums, take a walking tour of gracious plantation homes - or catch some of the finest in Texas music at the Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe. Our climate is temperate (think palm trees, they live here) - the coolest month is January, when high temperatures reach about 60 degrees F (you need a light jacket at night). By March, we're in the 70's again (October and April both see the 80's.) There's a lot to be said for southern charm and hospitality.
